Decisions, Decisions, Decisions for 2022
😶 I'm not a fan of the expectation of forced fun and goals setting at Christmas and New Year. Find it imposing.
That said, this year the contrast of spending Christmas Day with rough sleepers and Manchester’s homeless, then ending it watching an episode of Succession did put in to perspective a lot of the thoughts I have about last year and decisions I have about next.
👂Lots of my Clients have had a tough year.
💥Many have achieved more than they could have ever imagined.
❤️🔥 Courage is found in all.
If you are reflecting on your year, or looking forward to the next one: Take care with what you look for.
What you look for will shape what you see.
⚡️Have compassion with yourself.
⚡️Own what’s your.
⚡️Don’t carry what isn’t.
⚡️Notice what choices were available to you and what decisions you made. One you had control over, one you didn’t.
⚡️Don’t sugar coat a crap year.
⚡️Don’t give away your successes either.
⚡️Look for your courage and be proud of it.
⚡️Lead from who you want to be, not what you want
❤️🔥 Knowing courage transforms what becomes possible in the way you experience being you, making decisions and taking action. Make sure to choose courage.
What I am a fan of is setting a thematic word for the year, to work alongside making values aligned decision making.
I’m setting Less as mine. A challenging word for me but wrapped around my values it will set me up for a purposeful year.
Wishing you courage and solidarity for 2022
